Daniel Ortiz de Montellano
Danny moved from Mexico City to New York in 2013. In Mexico, he was the owner and executive chef of Foodworks, a catering company handling both daily meals as well as formal events for the Goethe Institute Mexico and the US Embassy in Mexico City. Upon his arrival in NY, he worked for Sysco Foods as Latin American Marketing Consultant, then as marketing manager at Maximum Quality Foods and is currently Operations Manager for La Newyorkina, a Mexican ice cream company. Danny has extensive knowledge of Mexican food and regional cooking techniques.
